Eh, hadn't updated this in a while, thought I might as well.

Okay, so I just gnawed on my fingernail for about five minutes before realizing the nail clippers were on the second shelf where I had (apparently) moved them, most likely some time yesterday. But that's not really important. I'm just glad I found 'em. Cuz my finger was starting to hurt on account of my biting it.

Sooooooo....registration for spring semester classes has started. Just had a meeting with the chemestry professor about an hour ago (my major) so I get to start signing up tomorrow. Unfortunately, to get the number of credits to graduate in four years, I'm taking Calc, Chem, and Bio all in the same semester >________< Ask me how much I don't want to do that. Go ahead. Ask.

So, um....yeah...not much else going on. Heading to cultural anthropology now - I actually did my homework, yay for me! XD

Woo-hoo, we is officially a college student!! :w00t:

Incidentally, and this is the first time this has happened to me, my roommate and I hadn't even been at school 12 hours when a guy driving past us as we were walking through town stuck his head out the car window and yelled "Homos!"

...it was a Friday night in a small town, so I assume he was just drunk. T_T

Also, I got my eyebrow pierced two weeks ago, which has been my dream for the past two years. :D

There's a picture I'm supposed to be working on for what's kinda like an online Secret Santa, but with picture requests. With my current level of procrastination, I'll be lucky to meet the deadline, but keep an eye out for a Lavi or Kanda pic (feedback is appreciated, first time drawing these characters).

A few hours ago, I saw the comedian Baron Vaughn* - it was amazing!!! XD

*if you don't know who this is, google him, it's worth it

Ahahahaha, school is out, and the institution known as high school has finally lost it's hold on my soul forever!! That's right, I GRADUATED!!! XD

I'm sooooooooo happy to be out of school, and am looking forward to spending as much time relaxing as possible before heading off to another four years of school that will probably leave me broke. (If you see an otaku on the side of the road, please give me food! >.< )

Summer also means more time for manga and anime! :w00t:

After years of searching (literally, years) I finally found a place to read Ayatsuri Sakon online!! Nothing like starting off the summer with a new obsession! :D

It's a great series, and if you haven't heard of it, you should check it out! ^_^

time management gone wrong

  • Mood: Zeal
  • Listening to: AMV
  • Reading: Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
  • Watching: Neuro AMV
  • Playing: the not-study game (fairly odd parents)
  • Drinking: milk
Woo-hoo! :w00t: One week of finals left before school ends!! And you know what that means---Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro anime marathon!!!

...it's amazing I'm not failing any of my classes. T_T
But that series is sooooooo addicting, I just can't stop! Except when I come across NeuroxYako shipping. I hate that. No, I really do. (If that's love, I'm staying single forever...)

Seriously though, I gots one more week and then good-bye high school! XD
I just gotta finish two term papers - correlation of music and social trends and "Handmaid's Tale" - and take an anatomy final, then I'm done! Of course, our genius anatomy teacher decided to start a new unit last week that she's including on the final, and if that don't spell "fun" then I don't know what does. Except maybe a root canal or a Doberman.

As soon as I get my camera working, I'm uploading another piece. (it was pastels, so it couldn't go through the scanner, apparently -_- )

They have addled my brain...

  • Watching: Akatsuki AMV's
  • Playing: pretend-I-don't-have-homework
Woo-hoo new books, ain't nuthin' can make you feel happy like that!! (or maybe that's just me -_-" )

Anyway, I've almost finished "I,Robot" and it's So. Freaking. Awesome!!! XD (yes, it's not just a movie, though Will Smith is smexy) It's a collection of short stories by Isaac Asimov relayed as stories told to a newspaper reporter by Dr.Susan Calvin close to her retirement. I was surprised that the movie kept so many elements from the book, especially since there wasn't one definite plotline (the stories, for the most part, weren't directly related). The plot of the movie had nothing to do with the book's plot(s), but the Three Laws were kept word-for-word, and the attitudes towards robots and the feel in general was pretty similar. One of the stories even deals with a robot who is modified to ignore part of the First Rule, similar to the robot in the movie ("A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm").

Also, our Lit class has an independent reading project throughout the semester and I'm going to be reading "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood, either that or "Alias Grace," but I already have the first one.

(PS- If anyone gets the title, I love you.)
